Back to school!!
Hi guys, so I'm upgrading my rig soon  and as with all great rigs I need a great cabinet, suggest one for me, I have 4k as primary budget, the 6k is in case parents become a bit generous  , so suggest some for me.

The case needs to be locally available in kolkata, I have two 120mm fans already, so fan is not an issue for me, and I have a HX620, so I believe I can power as many fans as are there.

Also direct me to any thread/link that you think that can help me, also post reviews if you can.

U don't need to spend an astronomical sum to get a good quality pc case. You scan opt for a CM elite 430 cabinet which costs around Rs.2600 and looks quite stunning. It also provides plenty of room for expansion.I think this cabinet should be easy to procure in Kolkata.

I doubt it will fit a 5970 or a similar card, did you know that the 6k priced cm 690 II can't fit a 5970? I'm gonna keep it for 5yrs+, in my opinion the bigger the better(always  ), currently eying CM HAF 912 advanced.

Cooler Master Elite 430 has enough space for 2*HD 5970

What about HAF 912 advanced? Also since I'm a sucker for looks I really would love full black painted interiors, like HAF 912 advanced as.

Tempest evo looks nice, I'll read a few reviews now.

CM 690 can fit a 5970?

@tkin:Thanks for informing us that despite what CM claims on its website, elite 430 cannot actually accommodate large gfx cards such as the radeon 5970.I've also been thinking of investing in a reasonably priced yet good looking and feature packed cabinet for a while and I had a predilection for the elite 430 as its not only cheap but also offers good VFM.

But after reading your post,I'm having second thoughts about buying it.HAF 912 advanced does have a futuristic appearance and it also has a plethora of great features-for how much is it currently retailing in Kolkata?(I'm also from WB fyi).If it really costs around 6k,I'll definitely consider buying it in the foreseeable future.Currently I have a worthless Iball cabinet and it does not provide good ventilation for my system and so I have to keep the side panel open for proper cooling when I use my pc for prolonged periods-this really irks me a lot.

If u finally settle for the haf 912,plz post some of its pics and also a detailed review about its pros and cons(if possible).

Have a wonderful day!

Coolermasters issue with cabbies(CM 690II) are that they have usually a sideways hdd bay preventing cards from sliding in them, so the size of the card that can be fixed is absolute unless the drive bay is removable, the HAF 912 advanced is different, the lower hdd cage is removable so you can put any card in it, you sacrifice HDD space but can install 2 hdds easily and 2 ssds on top of that, this is very good case, comes with side acrylic window and has USB 3.0 brackets in front, my next upgrade(Z68) will support front USB 3.0 ports so I might get the HAF 912 advanced(the HAF 922 and 932 lack the new features).

Online shops have this cabby @ 5.6k+ shipping(about 1k max), so in kolkata this should be below 6k.

i think u have already made up ur mind
I have, and there are reasons for it, when I upgrade I want to use my 9800GTX+ for PhysX(Corsair is sending me cables to use two gpus without using converters), and the 9800GTX+ is very long, so normal cabbies won't fit it and a GTX560 at the same time, so I'm gonna get a new and better cabby.
