Suggest components for upgrade [~50k]

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Competitive online multiplayer games. [Overwatch, Counter Strike: GO and the occasional AAA title at medium-high settings strictly at 1080p or lower.]

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k INR.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500GB.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, 21 inch+

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: The items I currently own are:

Dell IN2030M LED Monitor.
WD Blue 1TB HD.
G.Skill RipjawsX 4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1833Mhz.
ASUS M5A97 Motherboard.
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T Processor.
Sapphire HD 6850 1GB GPU.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Soon.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: It will be assembled by me.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Online is fine.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Please suggest a build from scratch or else if these parts can be accommodated then its fine too.

Could you suggest a build in the same price without the GPU? I already have a MSI GTX 1060 6GB packed, it was bought from the US but cannot be used with my current configuration.

Broken In
Ryzen 1500x ~14,500 Rs
Asus b350m-plus ~ 7700 Rs
Corsair veng 8gb ~ 6750 Rs
Samsung 850 256gb ~ 6750 Rs
Corsair tx550m ~ 5720 Rs POWER SUPPLY CORSAIR TX-M SERIES™ TX550M — 550 WATT 80 PLUS® GOLD CERTIFIED PSU
This comes to total = approx 41500 Rs
For monitor go with what bssunil suggested or someone else can recommend it. so +9000Rs
For cabinet I suggest Corsair 270r ~ 5000 Rs (Go with something cheaper if budget restricts you)
Final total comes to ~ 55000 Rs approx (you can cut the ssd if you are really tight on budget)

If you managed to sell your old stuff you can get a good gaming mouse + mouse pad as you will be playing Competitive games and even a good keyboard.

P.S :- Please do get a second opinion from more experienced people here (eg: saiyangoku or bssunil ) as I am new to this.

Wait for Intel to launch lower end 300 series mobos and pair it with an i5 8400.

Thank you for the suggestion. Could you provide an estimate on the pricing compared to current pricing of motherboards and the expected time of launch? I'm planning to assemble this by December end, or maximum by end of January.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will be selling my older configuration. SSD is not required for my usage, will settle for a hard disk. I'm actually looking for a nice monitor within 10-12k with less than 2ms response time. BenQ has an option available. Any suggestions?

Cheapest Z370 mobo currently costs about 11k. B360, H370 mobos are expected to be launched in 2018 Q1 and could cost 7-8k at the lowest.

Keep the HDD from old config but still add a ssd. That BenQ monitor has TN panel IIRC. LG 22MP68VQ-P seems to be the only option with IPS panel, higher refresh rate and 5ms response time in your budget.

How about this?

i5 8400 - 15k
Z370 - 11k
Cabinet? (Suggest) - 3k
Corsair tx550m - 5.7k
Corsair veng 8gb ~ 6.7k
WD Blue 1TB - 3.4k
LG monitor suggested by you - 9.8k

Total comes to around 53-55k.

Or else I can go with a Ryzen build too, if it is good for gaming as I plan to use this configuration for 2 years purely for gaming purposes on mid-high settings. GPU is 1060 6GB already purchased.

Cabinets selling around 3k are bad for air flow and are poorly made not to mention they generally lack front USB 3.0 ports. i5 8400 goes toe-to-toe with 7700k and sometimes even beats it in gaming benchmarks. If I were you, I'd wait for B360/H370 mobos.

Alright I will be waiting for the updated motherboards to be released in Q1 2018 then. Actually Q1 would encompass the whole quarter and waiting till Feb or March would be too late for me hence the temptation to go with Z370 for now. Thank you for all the inputs.
