Suggest best Configuration

Hi all

I am keen to upgrade my present 5 year old PC( which is a P4 Intel,512 MB, 40GB HDD) I find it slow. Would appreciate input on a good configuration with suggestions on which brands of hardware etc. My requirements are:

Photo Editing
Video
Music
Games
Office
Broadband
Voip etc etc

With prices having come down considerable, is it all advisable to go in for an assembled unit. Or a branded one will be good bet.. Please comment.

hmmm well that would depend... definatly more RAM, and a vid card... all you really need to do is swap out mobo and cpu, and maybe psu... but 'll let someone from India takcle this one, as I'm not fimillar with pricing. take a look at this thread. *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62422 shows pricing for India
