) What is your budget?

36K max

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

No

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

Will be using it for running 3-4 virtual machines simultaneously in VMware Workstation.

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

No preference

6) Anything else you would like to say?

I need a USB 3.0 port

Have checked following models but can consider other models as well:

1) HP G6-2010AX - Not sure whether AMD A8 will be a good choice?

2) Toshiba C850 x0010 - Not sure about its battery backup. If it is good, I can consider adding +2 or even +4 GB RAM to it and it will cost 600 /1200 Rs extra. Moreover its price was reduced today and it now only costs 32.8K on flipkart.

3) Lenevo G580 i5/4GB/500 - Not sure about it.

Was initially considering i5 3rd Gen laptops but then I saw HP G6-2010AX which has 6GB of RAM

Please suggest.

Since you'll be running multiple OSs in vmware, AMD A8 is not the best option. You should go for toshiba C850 or Lenovo G580.

2010AX is fine but it doesn't have any free slot for ram. So if you plan to upgrade later, you'll have to replace the 2GB with a higher capacity one. If it'll be used only for WMware, go for the lenovo.
