I want to buy a new PC, please suggest a good and latest configuration which would fit upto Rs.30,000. Also, I want to know that widescreen monitors are better or regular are better. And the config should be able to play latest games like Crysis, GTA IV etc.

for a budget of 30K (to tell u really honestly) u just cant play Crysis or gta4 to its full potential (maybe NOT even on a mid setting :( ),

Crysis is a huge gpu intensive game, even 2 gpu cards (the latest ones from nViDIA...the gtx280's..manage to jus giv upto 60fps)...

ALso, widescreen monitors (LCDs) are really gr8 for gaming and also for any other work too.. :)

E5200 @ 3.5k
Biostar P35 D2-A7 @ 3.7k
2*2=4GB DDR2 800MHz Transcend @ 2.4k
Zebronics Krish @ 1k
Cooler Master 500W ExP @ 2.7k
Western Digital 250GB @ 2.4k
Umax Powerbeats UPB 3200 2.1 @ 1.3k
Palit 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 @ 5.6k
BenQ 18.5" E900HD @ 6.9k
Logitech Kbd/Laser Mouse Combo @ 1k

Total = Rs. 30, 500

Now I promise you can play CRYSIS, GTA 4 and any other game on earth ATM at lower resolutions and full settings(I mean mid-low resolution, like 1280x800).

And every other game at the same resolution can be run at high or medium settings with 2xAA as well.

You should get an intel e7300 and motherboard for a similar price. It'll be a bit more powerful, and you'll need all the horsepower you can get for games like crysis.

Also, a 500gb wd hard drive for 3k. There are lamington road(bombay) prices.

Great config, man, Thanks, this might help me a lot. And about the graphic card..what is the price of 'Palit 9600GT 1GB GDDR3'?

But I think 7.5k would be worth it, bcoz it has 1 GB VRAM, but I'll see if I can increase my budget a little. Okay Thanks for all the info.

^^But it still performs below par than a 9800GT^^^^^^

However, if you SLI two 9600GT 1GB, then the equivalent performance hits that of a GTX260 Core 216, and I don't know how.

Right now, Seagate is having some problems with Firmware, although I havn't heard a single complaint of Seagate users from digit. And seagate is cheaper, although WD is very good too.

for now, it's better to stick to Western Digital, especially, if you are looking for 320Gb+ capacity.
