Legen-wait for it-dary!
I've tried the so called "branded" desktop search programs, including microsoft's, google, nero, and something else. No thank you, I said.
I've tried Turbo Searcher, its very good, but I didnt like it clearing its file cache every comp restart. So if I wanted to look for a file immediately after the comp starts, I've gotta do the manual search which is slow.
I need a file indexing soft, and it needs to be fast, both while indexing, and while searching. It can be free or paid, thats no problem.
So, what do the digit forumers use? Suggest away...
EDIT:: needs to be light on memory. No more than 10-20 mb memory, please.
And it should index all filetypes by default. Not just the frequently used ones. I rejected some apps just because they index stuff like mp3, html, doc, xls, and we need to add other filetypes manually.
