In 60 Hz TV, fast moving objects like football or cricket ball are not as noticeable as a CRT TV or a 120Hz TV. So my advice will be a 120Hz.

Sports is broadcasted at 60fps at best, so shouldn't matter much unless there's some good software processing. I generally hate the final results of motion smoothening that TVs implement, but yet to check it in higher end TVs.
