Strontium or Sandisk

Dear Friends,

The title states it all, which is better Strontium or Sandisk performance wise for memory cards of phones? Since classes of memory cards won't matter much if the memory card is going to land up in a phone, I am more inclined towards Strontium because as per Amazon's customer support they have a life time warranty. Their site states this-
Some countries and states have limitations on how long a warranty lasts, so this Limited Lifetime Warranty may not apply to you. Strontium’s Limited Lifetime Warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights to bear the lengthiest warranty period permitted under applicable national legislation. Please read the Disclaimer below carefully.

Warranty Policy - Strontiu
Do we get hassle free long time support in India? The warranty is 5 or in some products 7 years in Sandisk.

Thanks

Sandisk is best.
Bought Strontium 32 GB class 10 Card 2 years back. Didn't work even for single day. I think they have service center only in very few big cities. When contacted customer support, they asked me to send card by courier to their service center to get it repaired. I threw it in dustbin and got Sandisk card which is working very smooth without any problem.

You should have sent the card back. Sandisk's replacement procedure is also the same.

From where did you buy the strontium one? Maybe it was a fake, considering it wasn't working from day one.
I have had SD cards of multiple brands, including Strontium. None of them every gave issues and works quite similar in performance (when compared cards of same class of course).

Transcend not supported in India? Does that mean no warranty? I don't think its possible.

Transcend Support is a weird one. Earlier after sales support was handled by Accel Frontline (http://myservice.accelwms.in/). I had to RMA my external hard drive in 2012. They tool 9 months to replace it with a brand new piece after months of emailing. They send the defective piece to Taiwan itseems for checking and replacement. Anyway after that there was a period were Transcend said Accel is their official partner for RMA and Accel said they weren't. I don't know who handles it now. Recently read somewhere Transcend is accepting RMA only in few countries these days. So you see there is no clarity and even if support is provided it takes months. The products are good but support is not. I would advice against buying high values products from them.

According to a person on Quora. Only Online RMA service not available. You have to call their customer care number and talk to their customer support to register for a RMA.
How to claim the warranty for a SanDisk memory card - Quor.
So SanDisk products are still supported unlike Transcend products.

Ok. I tried from online RMA. It was successful. You need to register product first then ask for RMA.
They approved RMA request.
Thank you all..

Now going to RMA SanDisk Memory card on monday from Rashi Peripherals.
Thank you again.

Strontium has worst cards and worst customer service. They wanted me to send the card to their service center with my expenses.

And it wasn't fake card. Because when I contacted customer care, they asked me to send some number written on the card. After verifying that number, they asked me to send card to their service center. And Amazon won't sell fake card. So the card was not fake.

Sandisk also tells customers to send cards to their service center at their own expense. One part of the transportation is borne by the customer and other by the company. What's wrong in that?

I don't know if Sandisk ask customer to send cards to service center at their own expenses because my sandisk card is working without any problem so far. So never had to contact customer care of Sandisk.

But I do know Strontium card did not work even of single day and they asked me to send card to their service center with my expenses.

With my experience I can say Sandisk is more reliable than Strontium.
