Strange software prob..plz help

This is a strange kind of problem which i have never heard of before. The softwares i have installed get uninstalled automatically if i dont use them for a long time. I have got windows xp. The games which come with windows also get deleted if i dont use them for a long time. I dont understand this. can u guys help me. bye

No, that is not possible, not even by any known virus. Please double check for what is happening.

How can this happen yaar???? Check whether someone else in your home is using your computer??

the question is correct and so is the strange problem. i have been experiencing this from the last few days. i think it is some sort of virus. the games like solitaire and also get deleted.
Do u think formatting and reinstalling windows again will help???

Please scan ur system thoroughly by a trusted and reliable Antivirus software in normal as well as safe mode..if the problem still persists then Format ur HDD and make a fresh install of ur OS....(please backup ur data b4 formatting ur HDD)

Ok i have scanned the whole system but i didnt find any thing suspicious. now i have formatted the hdd and reinstalled windows. so far so good. i have not experienced any problems till now. Lets see... what happens later.

I guess.. thou not sure.. but windows is autohiding ur icons.. i hope thats not the issue ? and u were taking it as for deleted.
