When I use the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard in Microsoft Windows XP SP2 receive the following error message:
"Error loading the TCP MIB library"
When I click OK,then crashes explorer.

I searched MS KB and only found one article that indicates
a 3rd party version of several dll's might be in the root of the %system%
folder and conflicting with the MS versions of the same dll's in the system
32 folder. When I delete snmp32.dll, Ntprint.dll, Tcpmib.dll, Mgmtapi.dll, or Snmpapi.dll , it appear again even before rebooting.

Any solution someone have ? help me.

thanks

Well, You can try checking the System files.

Type sfc /scannow in Start->Run.

Insert the Windows XP CD when it asks.

If that doesn't work, you need to do a Repair Installation of Windows.

Thanks for the help xubz

I found the Snmpapi.dll under the root folder, renamed it and it worked like a dream.... didn't even have to reboot. I was able to configure my port, correct the IP address and now my printer works again... Hope this helps anyone else who has this problem.. Have a wonderful day.
