Right off the assembly line
I got a heavy telephone bill from Thrissur BSNL, Kerala, for the month of April 2008. When I checked my Internet Usage (Home 500 with a limit of 2.5 GB per month) I saw an internet usage of around 6GB for 4 seconds on 28th April 2008 !!!!. But I got my bill corrected by going to the BSNL Accounts Section. The phenomenon is technically termed "Spurting" The same spurting has occurred once again on 6th July 2008 also at around 1.00 pm. The matter has been reported to BSNL duly for correction. The most unfortunate fact is that the portal for chcking Dataone Broad Band Internet Usage *bbservice.bsnl.in is not accessible most of the time. The quality of BSNL dataone service is going on deteriorating day by day
