speed up start & shut down of win xp

can any body help me to speed up my win xp

tell me how to speed up the start and shut down of windows xp..

download uphclean for only fast shut down.

and disable auto run application at start up like yahoo messenger,msn,skype etc

Go to run msconfig->startup to do this

i ve already defragmented the hard drive..
also registry clean up,registry defragment, msconfig ,.etc,,
what else i ve to do to change the time of boot screen logon time and to fast shut down

Uninstall unused application.... delete hefty Media files from your hard drive especially from windows installation drive

ya.
i ve already uninstalled the unused software
and no media file in c drive

there is time gap of 30 sec between boot screen and logon scren appearence
how can i decrease it

system is windows xp..
service pack 3

please help me as my start up time increases considerably..


nothing happens in that 30 sec time..
computer remain ideal
