Sony Xperia SP's Pros:-

Sony Xperia SP has 4G.
Sony Xperia SP has 319 ppi pixel density.
Sony Xperia SP has Bravia Engine 2
Sony Xperia SP has a smaller screen(4.6 inches)(which is win-win for me).
Sony Xperia SP has NFC.
Sony Xperia SP has Powerful Dual Krait Cores.
Sony Xperia SP has Adreno 320.
Sony Xperia SP has 2370mah battery.

Moto G's Pros

Moto G has IPS LED Screen.
MOto G has 16 GB internal Memory(which is not important for me.)
Moto G has 2 MP front camera
Moto G has Qualcomm 400 quad core.
Moto G is upgradable to Android L.

What i need.

1. I need a small screen.
2. I need a fast processor.
3. I need a better gpu
4. I need a better battery.
5. I need NFC.
6. I don't need upgradable to android L i will be okay with android 4.1.1.

Moto G will get Official Android L/M .. you are stuck with 4.3 in SP.
But SP has better hardware

You should get SP since you are not interested in latest android but please do not complain at a later stage that android is too slow or it lag a lot.

Yes. Xperia sp does lag. Touch responsiveness is not that good and sometimes you can surely experience hiccups during use.

So go for moto g 2014 since android L is bringing a whole new level of smoothness of Android OS. They started with kitkat and I guess they must have improved on it.

My cousin have XP SP, one thing I can say is the OS is not at all optimized and camera quality is very very bad for that price bracket. If these points doesn't matters to you much then you can go ahed. But don't mistake my "OS not at all optimized" words to judge that the OS will lag. I have never seen lagging, but not optimized means specially for camera.

Have u seen the xperia sp personally. Even though it has a all round metal body in my opinion design wise sp is quite old, at least it felt a bit heavy on my hand and its a bit fat too. So i would go with moto g considering its modern design and os.

I have to make my mind.I will order it online. If you leave the os then the Xperia SP is better than Moto G or not?
The processor on SP is better than G or not?I know that there are many buggy update for Xperia SP there.I will be stay on stock version os.

Better get moto g for better software and for future proof also.

I not want latest os.I just want a powerful phone.
What's the use of getting a powerful phone if it lags and not future proof?

BTW, Xperia sp has dual core s4 pro and moto g has cortex a7 chip.. So I think Xperia sp is good on paper but not really in real life.

I would say, don't just go for specs, look for reviews and performance too.
