Sony Vaio laptop - 45k to 55k!

Hi all!

I'm going to buy a new laptop for my use - Will be mostly using it for web surfing, programming, and watching that rare movie

Therefore I have shortlisted some laptops - I'd prefer Sony.
This are the laptops -
Can you help me which one to go for! This - Sony VAIO SVE14A15FN Laptop (2nd Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 640GB/ Win7 HP/ 1GB Graph): Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Sony Notebook or this Sony VIAO E Series SVE14116GNB Laptop 3rd Gen Ci5/4GB/500GB/Win 7 Pro: Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Sony Notebook

Please help me out!! I think the E14A is really good. But it has i5 2nd gen. Is that ok or i should go for i5 3rd gen? Any difference between this two?

And I'm a college computer science engineering student!
And if there are some really good laptops in this price range then please tell me! (45k - 55 k)

^ looks wise SVE14A is really good. There is just approx 5% diff between 2nd and 3rd gen, infact 3nd gen proccy run cooler..

Other than this there is Dell inspiron SE laptop..

Sony VAIO E Series SVE14116GNB as it is cheaper and better.
I agree with Adnan,looks wise it is better indeed.But not worth the extra bucks.

PS: Did anyone notice the second link wrongly spelled VAIO as VIAO

Take a Look at Dell Inspiron 14R Special Edition 51419Rs config.

I will suggest you to go for Lenovo Z570 (59-321133) Laptop (2nd Gen Ci7/ 4GB/ 500GB/ Win7 HP/ 2GB Graph) for Rs. 50930 (flipkart).

You can also look at Sony Vaio - SVE15117FNW and Samsung - NP550P5C-S01IN. While the Sony has backlit keyboard, which is absent in Samsung, Samsung has advantage of better graphics [GT650M compared to GT640M LE], better screen resolution [1600x900]. Choose after you prioritise your needs.
