I am planning to by a SONY VAIO. Based on my needs I narrowed down to two models. F and CW series.
F Series boasts core i7, 16.4' screen and weighs around 3.2kg
CW Series: core i5, 14' screen and weighs around 2.4kg
Rest of the factors like RAM-4gigs, HDD capacity-250GB , USB ports, wireless support, Gigabit ethernet, etc are similar and I am satisfied and ok on this.
I am confused of these models on which one shud I prefer given the fact that I mostly use this laptop for application
development(running db/app servers, Netbeans kind of IDEs) purpose on Linux/UNIX variant (of-course stay away from win
) and some photo/video edit. Also, I am not a Gamer!
My mind is more towards CW bcoz of sleek nature - but worried running IDEs on such small screen(14') 'd be difficult
. apart from this, CW suits all my needs.
Although, the F series looks good in all aspects ( good processing power couled with good screen size and resolution), afraid if mobility would be lost
. 3.2 kg + BIG 16' screen
Considering these, can someone give your suggestions and opinions.
one more thing is CW rated GOLD in EEPAT whereas F is just silver.
