Hi All,

Happy Diwali to all....

Actually I need a software to record my voice on hard-disk.....

Then I want to record this piece of voice on cassettes.....

Also I want to edit these recorded voices.....

So the software should be able to do all high end multimedia editing....

Also for recording the voice on cassettes what additional hardware is required....

Please suggest a Good Software for my needs that comes free or easily available over Torrents...

You can use a Software called jetAudio to record your voice. It offers good features.

So first you record to the pc , edit it, finalise it.

Now you need a line OUT port. You can use the port where the speaker wire connects. You need a Tape recorder. Connect one end of the cable into the speaker port and the other end in the Line In port on the tape recorder.

Start the recording on the tape recorder and open the file which has your voice for playback. It can play through Windows Media Player. The software for playback makes no difference.

I hope you understand what Im trying to explain.

I'd prefer you get Audacity instead of JetAudio.. Its got More Advanced Features.. (like Noise Reduction and all, which will be useful for Tape Hissing Noise)

there is a software called mp3Direct cut, you can download from download.com. it is a nice little program which has only one task - cut the unwanted protion of the recording. i use it to delete.trim/extract songs recorded on to the systme from audio cassets. - IT is free to use.

For recording i use an application that come with wavepad - you can download it also - it is free. good feature about it is it directly records the line-in sample from you cassetplayer into mp3. another application is audiograbber, it is also a nice little utility.
