Because i have XP Pro and it doesn't require activation.:p

Dude but i have an OEM ver of XP pro from Wipro and every time after a clean install it require Activation..

Having XP pro does'nt give anyone freedom of Lifelong activation...

A web search also revealed that XP Pro requires activation just like XP Home. Also why should MS exempt XP Pro only?

Check this link-> *labmice.techtarget.com/FAQ/winxpfaq.htm

Product Activation is only required on the retail and some OEM versions of Windows XP and not on the volume licensing program that most businesses use.
