Slow process

I am having windows 2000 and it was working fine since long time but since 2-3 days it become slow. i.e. it take long time to boot the system....
and rest of the things after booting working fine........
what should I do to make my pc boot faster.

1)Remove unwanted startup entries(type msconfig in run & remove unwanted entries 4m startup tab).2)Defrag windows partition.
