shut down is very slow

MY COMPUTER IS VERY SLOW WHILE SHUT DOWN. PLS HELP ME..

configuration : intel pentium 4, cpu 2.40 GHz, 240 mb ram

I think there are may programmes runs in the background. Hence while u shut down your computer the system first closed that programme then shut downs your system. Please check the task manager how many programmes runs there. In My system normally 35/36 programs runs.

start-->>run-->>type regedit and press enter.Registry page will open.Navigate to this:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

Set ClearPageFileAtShutdown value to 0

u cud also try this...
open task manager by the usual method [ctrl]+[alt]+[del]
then hold [ctrl]+[shift]+[alt] then select shutdown from the option there.. it instantly shuts-down!!

u can also try
open regedit
thn navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
thn set WaitToKillAppTimeout to 200.

ur registry is too much loaded.... ones run Registry mechanic 6 or later version
