Se w550 querry

My se w550i is a triband gprs fone.I have seen tht it does nt support EDGE.So, is there anyway of speeding up d net conn? I have already subscribd to airtel edge n dnt want to buy a new fone.
Plz help.

Well, you'll have to buy a new phone for EDGE.....

EDGE requires hardware support...
you need to get an EDGE enabled handset for faster speeds.
