SD on HD

I am planning to buy a Full HD 40" TV for youtube net and gaming. However i am concerned if the resolution of the youtube video is not 1080 but less, will it be watchable on the tv ? Or should i go for a HD ready TV instead ?

Youtube videos will look much better in 1080p HDTV as they have Picture processing engine which will Upscale all non native resolution content to full HD.

So yeah go ahead get yourself a 1080p HDTV.

Don't buy a 768p TV. Let that screen resolution go obsolete.

Obviously it's watchable. I've had experience with quite a few streaming services on 1080p TV's and the quality isn't bad(like you think). If your internet is capable of streaming such content, no reason that you shouldn't go for one.
