Scheduling LAN

Well, i use broadband scarcely, thus disabling whenever required & vice versa. Now, i want it to start at 2:10A.M. But how do i config. it in task scedualr? I have a lan shortcut on desktop to that in the Network Connections. When i try scheduling the shortcut, it displays notpad with strange characters. Help me, please

try this ...
make a batch file with the following command in it ..

start "" "C:\document and settings\username\desktop\my connection.lnk"
(replace the path by path of your shortcut)

now schedule this batch file to start at 2.10 ..
see if this works
