sata2 on intel865 MB

HI friends, can I connect SATA2 harddisk on Intel865gvhz motherboard....it contains SATA port...

Does SATA2 fits in SATA1 port.....is it good or should I go for IDE hard disk

You can connect SATA 2 HDD to SATA 1 port.
The cables are same, but remember SATA 2 HDD will throttle down to SATA 1 speed, if the motherboard dosn't support SATA 2.
