Use Fresh Diagnose, Fresh Diagnose is a software designed to analyze and benchmark your computer system. It can analyze and benchmark many kinds of hardware, such as CPU performance, hard disk performance, video system information, mainboard information, and more!

Key features of Fresh Diagnose:

* System Information: Scanning your system and give a complete report about your computer's hardware and software, for examples: mainboard information, video system information, PCI/AGP buses information, peripheral (keyboard, mouse, printer, etc.) information, network information.

lol.:D.......3GB/s is max speed offered by SATA (II)......u r HDD is obviously not running at that speed......average will be some 50MB/s or 60MB/s......

@Sysfilez, their website says that it's a freeware. You need to fill up your name &
email address in the form given (before you can download the software) to unlock
the software!!

Just a side note.. The speed of SATA2 is 3 gbps ie, 3 gigabits per second and not 3 gigabytes per second and 1024 bits=1 byte. So it has a burst speed of around 300 MB (mega bytes) per second. But actual performance will be much less.

Yes, @Kalpik is right. For more on SATA Click here
SATA II's speed is 3 G bits/sec. But that's the theoritical value. On practical conditions
lot of things come into play. For eg., Your PC's processor speed & RAM can make
a huge difference!! Linux is more faster in tansfering data than Windows O.S.
I use Ubuntu Linux & have 1 GB RAM ,2.4 Ghz Processor. I took me 3 mins & 10 secs to transfer
a 700 MB file!! My HD is Seagate PATA(IDE). I also transfered the file using the Terminal Window.
