SATA HDD and Windows 2000

Dark Overlord !!!
I'm goin to buy a new 160GB SATA HDD for my Intel 865 GBF Mobo and want to install Windows 2000 (SP4 integrated) on it. Will win 2k install without problems or there may be driver conflicts ??

Well! frankly please consult your intel motherboard manual first. It says that win 2000 has a limited support for such a setup. Hence, I suggest you to install Win XP instead. This is also something to do with dynamic drives which XP supports more correctly then 2000. and XP is more stable then 2000.

If for certain reason u only want to install win 2000. Then please check with the intel manual first. As far as i think the installation procedure of OS in a SATA drive is similar to what is with UATA drives, the only difference is when you install the RAID drivers.
