No benefit to be honest. One goes, one comes. When I started stepping in to this filthy high end mobile stuffs, Moto and Nokia were ruling, their bubble was about to burst, and it did, then stepped in Samsung, their bubble is about to burst, so who will come next? Yeah, LG. I will take Samsung thousand out of thousand times over LG. LG's QC is horrible. I personally will like to see Sony taking the place but they are way too arrogant to do that.
Grass is always greener at the other side, everyone is hating Samsung now, when they'll be out of the top spot, the hatred will just shift to the new leader. That's what always happened, and will keep happening.

Exactly! Design is the thing people see. Just the same way that saying goes, first looks, then inside.
But don't really agree with the camera thingy, I mean yes S4 / S5 / Note 3, all of them have very very good cameras but still they are far from being king. Lumia series are in their own league, no comparison there, but the biggest drawback is the low light shots. S5, the phone which has accomplished the best camera phone award along with Z2, just takes below average shots in low light! HDR, software stabilisation, whatever you do, it can't take good photos in low light. M8, which has become everyone's hate for the camera takes WAY better photos in low light. Z2 is undoubtedly the best there, no comparison. S5 does take the best daylight shots though, still I will prefer an overall better camera than being superior in one condition and inferior in other.
Yes, and believe me, this is Android we are talking about here, and it's extremely important. No custom stuffs just don't make any sense to me at all. No point of you can't take the best out of your phone.
****ing Facebook, Twitter kids. Those who brag about 4G / LTE, just ask them if they have a half decent broadband in their home. Social muppets.
S5 had a horrible review on Flipkart, no problem, if people pointed out that it's running TouchWiz and Exynos, that'd be great, but in a lot of reviews I've seen that it's being mentioned that this phone doesn't have 4G, what a disaster, those stupid don't even deserve to use a Nokia 1200 IMHO.

Z2 takes the lead only on low light that too with flash on. S5 takes the lead behind 1020 in normal light condition i still photography and runner up in low light video quality.

Simply due to the fact that Samsung holds the biggest userbase in comparison to any other manufacturer. This is why a single crappy device like S3 Mini has more custom roms, mods than all handsets from LG, Huawei combined

Did read it, however not in detail. Will check it again.
My point was from being a previous S4 owner, I didn't like it in low light at all. Moto X, which otherwise has an awful camera is actually better in low light than S4, which I'm finding extremely surprising! Yes with noise, but it's moderate, and anyone can use LightRoom.

Well from that prescriptive even the original Galaxy S has some features which the S5 has, then S2 and all.
All the nerds will upgrade anyway. Do you really think people, idiotic people like me actually see these things, or even think about it for a moment? They just buy it cause they just have to. And they'll keep doing that until they realize what the hell they've done wrong!

I always stick to two yearly upgrades. If the device is still doing well why not stretch it to another year. Dev support is the most important aspect for me at least. I may delay my purchase for getting a better device. Irrespective of the situation the phone will be rooted and flashed with a custom ROM mainly withing a week of purchase. So these gimmicky features are not what I care for. All I care for is hardware.
Is that s5 ROM a stable one? Good enough for a daily driver?
I am rocking an S3 and would like to try that S5 rom port out.If possible link me to it.
