hey guys need help regarding the new bada os phones.........
no proper reviews yet but they r already available at a gr8 price
samsung s5250..plz provide a good review of the phone

I don't think this phone is announced in India yet. And if it is available for under 8k, it will be truly VFM. Do remember that it doesn't have 3G support.

its available on stores in delhi...just found it on a shop near my house for rs.7800 with a 2gb mem card........3g doesnt matter much....3g services will arrive nxt year at high prices....m already using a SE C510 with mtnl 3g and its no gud yet....i want a cheap wifi phone with cap. touch...........
just dont noe abt bada much yet ne info on dat.......

I'm in 3D Grafix world!!!
Bada OS is based on Linux kernel, its a new mobile OS in the market. So, good application for this OS is very less. Unlike Android which has more than 70,000+ apps. But it'll change in the future.

they both trying their best investing billions of dollers in promotion and development

even ios and android started with very few applications...:lol:

tnx guys but i already noe this stuff.......can some1 who has used the phone plz review it......y arnt ne of the mobile sites like gsmarena or even digit or samsung site itself doesnt do it.....i just want to noe whether the touch and the ui is smooth and usable......
really want to buy android (x8) but is out of budget will go for it nxt year

Bada has very less chances of picking up considering the saturation of market and ever-growing inclination towards Android. Wave buyers said Bada store will pick up, but they have been saying that since months now. Practically, Bada scenario hasn't changed much even today. Go for Wave ONLY if you want a good Multimedia phone, else there are very good Android phones, costing much less than Wave (Galaxy 3) or slightly more than Wave (Legend).

I know, but I was replying in context with 2 posts above mine. Moreover, you said you'd rather go for Android, so my post compared Android phones with the only Bada OS phone that's in circulation, Wave. Wave II isn't really available everywhere as of now.

As a multimedia phone wave is much better then galaxy 3

but if u follow ever growing fan following of android(like IOS:wink:) then u can have galaxy 3 which comes in ur budget but have much poor screen then wave

What is bada | Samsung bada
See yourself. It is not an OS.
It is just a platform.

Even in wiki, read the architecture part.
There are already several phones powered with bada. Galaxy series hava bada underneath.

I just want to correct you. (As i had a long experience in taking a seminar on that.. :))
All the sites say that it is an OS.

Anyway it doesnt matter for you.. So leave it..
Actually the wave and Wave 2 are so good phones. Having a great spec in the 20k region.
Actually i wish to have the Galaxy S :-D .But dont have the budget so cut down my dreams to Wave series. The 10k wave is also having a good spec.

The wave is the first phone to feature superAMOLED and Bluetooth 3.0 :cool:

Bro u r saying that samsungs implements other OS on BADA platform...is it so??

But how can it be possible...an android OS will be implemented as plain vanilla android if samsungs touchwiz UI is not installed...where does this platform come from?

if every one of the mobile company implements plain android it will look exactly same I suppose:grin:

it is like the .net frame work in windows.

The Windows XP is like Android
You can have both XP and .net in the same sytem right ?

And for running .net applications,u need to have the .net framework irrespective of XP Vista or Windows 7 or Linux or whatever.
It is the same concept here..

For executing applications developed in bada SDK(like Visual studio for .net applications), you need to have bada frame work installed in the phone. All the upcoming samsung mobiles will have this bada platform preintalled. So whichever application you write in bada SDK,will work if bada is there..,irrespective of the OS(Android or Windows 6.5 or 7 or whatever...)

Such a beautiful idea... So nice... Hats off Samsung...
If other companies agree to use bada platform,then we will have a uniform platform set for developer.. Which will be the dream for every developer.

just how does galaxy 3 fits my budget.......m talking of a 7.5k phone and ur suggesting 12k......
i can get a betta phone then galaxy 3 in that range

galaxy spica has a way better display(high resolution) and almost the same features

I am very sorry bro...I got carried away with the name of samsung wave..but u r talking abt wave 2:???:

U can also have galaxy 5 which cost nearly 8k and have android and 3g:smile:
