Discussion: RMA for Gainward GTX660 2GB from Savera, Kolkata

Hi,

I have given my Gainward GTX660 2GB for RMA to Savera, Kolkata 5 days ago and today they have confirmed that my 660 is not working, So they offered me GTX960+balance amount or GTX750ti Golden Sample. Since I dont have enough cash I am going with GTX750Ti but I have a question. Since I have bought my 660 year ago now if they give me 750Ti what is the remaining warranty period left on 750Ti. Will it be still 3years full or the remaining 2years which was left of 660 GPU.

Please suggest which GPU to go and clear my doubt regarding the warranty also.

I'd go with GTX 960 instead of 750 Ti. Also ask them about the free Witcher 3 with the 960. ;)
If you can't get the 960, ask for the 760 atleast. 750 ti is a downgrade from 660.

Ask them to give GPU that is atleast equivalent to your current one , you can also ask for 660ti . Also how much they are asking for 960 ?

They are saying that 660 & 660ti is EOL but 760 needs some more cash like 960. So am going with 750ti and a credit note for the remaining(3.5k). 960 is like 18k where as 750ti is like 10k
So I will upgrade later when 950 or 950ti comes, so until then waiting...

How much are they asking for 760 and 960 each?

18k for both and I have to add some 4.5k extra which I cannot now. So going with 750ti for the moment and maybe later in the year if 950 or 950ti comes will go for either of them. Need this GPU for Witcher 3 and GTA5 in the coming months.

Well tell them that their 660 Ti is selling for 18k and 660 for 17k on flipkart so 4.5k extra is not justified. How much did you pay for the 660 when you bought it?

I told them but they are not listening at all.All they say is the price at which I bought my 660 GPU is what they want right now.13.5k

Well then ask them to anyhow get you a 660/660 Ti despite being EOL. I don't think its wise to get 750 Ti in exchange.

Savera sent me GTX750Ti 2GB Golden Sample GPU for GTX660 and said that if GTX960 Phantom 2GB arrives then I need to pay the difference amount and get GTX960 instead of GTX750Ti which I got for GTX660 2GB.

Just one quick question : do savera asks for bill for RMA ? or they provide RMA based on s/n only ?

1st the GPU must be in warranty and you have to call them and send them a email upon confirmation send the GPU for RMA... OK...
