Rig Upgrade Suggestion!!!!!!!

hi, i have already decided a rig in mind for med-high gaming..its a upgradation from my previous rig...cost 25~26k....its config is as follows:

Amd Phenom ii x945 3.0ghz (95w) or Amd Athlon ii 645 3.0ghz (95w)
Gigabyte 880gma-ud2h
saphire/msi/powercolor hd6850 1g
Gskill F3-12800CL8D-4GBRM
500gb hdd (already have it on my current p4ht rig)
the problem lies in my psu (cm 500w extreme series plus) its a plus series...rated efficiency of more than 70%...i just wanted to know that will this config work on this psu its a 1yr old (sept 09).....if not then how can i make it work on this psu as dont have a budget for another psu...can i shift my dvd drive to external so that i can save extra wattage
(around 35~65w) than way can it be beneficial. does dvd writer consumes power when idle?? i checked it on psu power calculator(extreme.outervision.com) and it shows 375W peak power consumption excluding the dvd drive.
or look for lower graphic card to fit in wattage specification. and suggest me a external 5.25" casefor dvd writer a good quality one with e-sata,usb.
provide me suggestion on config itself..wat can i do to work it on this psu for atleast 6 months... and i dont own a lamborgini so no high-fi solutions Thank you ppl And HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest you to sell the crappy CM PSU & go for :
Athlon II X4 635 - 4.5k
Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H - 4.5k
Corsair DDR3 1333MHz 2*2GB - 2.7k
Sapphire HD6850 - 10.2k
All of the above should come for 22k.So you will be left with 4k(assuming 26k as your budget) & some cash you might get from selling that CM PSU.With all that cash get a Corsair VX550 for 4.5k.If you still fall short of cash then get VX450 for 3.5k.
