Resident Evil 7

Surprised that no one created the thread. It's one of the most satisfying horror game I played in a long time.

What's interesting about it is the progression of protagonist from helpless distressed fellow to a know it all ready for anything. And the fact that you are given bouts of empowerment after certain segments when you can actually explore the mansion without any fear for a brief amount of time. Animations are literally the most realistic ever. And the mix of various horror sub genre makes it a complete package where everyone will find something to their liking. Attention to detail and level design is astounding.

Inspired from Evil Dead, Blairwitch, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the grudge, omen, saw, almost covering all sub genre of horror. I was so hooked that I completed it in one go. Took me about 10 hours. That's pretty much the average time.

That is what I need as Zombies are common now a days....
even COD Black Ops has lot of Zombies

This game is in my wishlist for now, so costly atm. Just bought Resident Evil 1 Remaster for now, played 2-3 missions of gamecube version on dolphin long ago, liked it.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to digest first person mode of Re7 , but i'll give it a try when it goes on discount.

Finally Completed - 8.5/10
Best Horror game and it gives spooks and jump scares. After playing Outlast, I can say this is the another Marvel from Capcom.
Completely different gameplay from previous RE installments. Story is also pretty good.
Graphics is excellent with fine details and amazing background sound to give you creeps. Some places are too dark to visit and flashlight looks weak.

If you have seen movies such as Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw, Saw etc then this game is inspired from those movies. I finished the main story in 12.5 hrs.

A must play for all Horror fans and if you play in VR than it will give you goosebumps.
