Tech'ing life seriously!!
Dear DFU's
This 22nd i am leaving for Bangalore for further studies (BCA). I am unable to take my PC this journey as there are meny other luggages. So i have decided to take the computer on my next visit (next July).

My query is that as i am not taking "My Data" in this journey, i would like to encrypt the Data in a partition (as there are GB's of DATA) to protect it from others, Or in other words i would like to know about a good "Free Drive Encryption Software". If u have any such reliable software please list it here...

My PC Configuration is:
Intel D845GLAD MainBoard
Intel Pentium 4 1.7GHz
128MB DDR RAM
Running Windows XP SP2

<<Please post your recommendations before 21st July>>

Waiting for a quick reply...

In Windows XP there is an in-built encription facility, but your file system would have to be NTFS.

^^ Nevre *EVER* use EFS.. Many on this forum will tell you why.. People have lost GB's of data!

P.S. I second Digital Brat's suggestion. TrueCrypt.

I suggest you NEVER EVER go for Windows encryption like Kalpik mentioned. I have lost a lot of important files just after a reinstall(without formatting, mind you). So, always go for a third party software like the members have suggested.
