Don't know much but boat might be a VFM. My friend has a 1.5k boat BT speaker which is stereo & sounds better than my JBL go.

JBL Flip 5 can be had for 6k with card discount, so can also be considered.

Try with cheaper Boat options first with good ratings on amazon. Then later you can decide if it is worth it spending more on BT speakers in India.

I'm buying as a gift, so recommend me good one. I think boat ones are also good, but would prefer something that isnt "gamery" flashy with LEDs.

I gifted my father JBL and I have Sony... both are better though I liked the JBL sound signature much more.
You can check for SONY Srs-Xb23 little bit old model but does it even matter. Or JBL Flip 5

My colleagues got Boat speakers in award, they are just bass... nothing good. Even the voice prompt was aweful.

Flip 5 has just single woofer, Flip 6 has a woofer and a tweeter.

Plus Flip 6 has some additional EQ settings not accessible in Flip 5.

Is Flip 6 stereo?

Its 1.1 stereo, 1 woofer 1 tweeter. Apparently the mids and lows handled by woofer and highs handled by tweeter.

Flip 5 is mono, just 1 woofer.

For this price this is the loudest speaker I could find which is from a reputable brand. Even the sony XB200 isnt as loud (even though it is stereo).
