Removing VISTA!!!

I have Windows vista (x64) and Windows XP SP3 operating system installed in my PC, now i want to remove vista but m afraid will it render my XP useless!!, coz if i delete vista partition the bootscreen will vanish and i maynot be able to access xp!! how to remove vista!??
plz suggest a step by step guide...
