Release of asus k55vm core i5 3210m in india

please tell when asus k55vm core i5 version will be launched in india and what will be its price ?

shud i opt for it or asus k53sm-sx010d as i have heard that k55 series has problem like it gets heated up and also shuts down automatically.
but it has better design , sound quality, latest configuration as compaired to k53sm...

pls reply soon and dont close this thread pls .

this laptop is not available in india at present and also it is shown their official indian website . but is released in some parts of the world and it is available in their global website though the model has some different configuration.

i need laptop for cllg purpose like surfing web , watching movies , playing games like cod mw3, crysis 2, battlefld 3,nfs...

i want a laptop within my budget having atleast following configuration:-

4 gb ram

2 gb gpu atleast gt630m

15.6' screen

loud and clear sound..
atleast 500gb hdd

You can go with the k53sm-sx010d as the ASUS K55VM is having 3rd gen i5 with GT 630m.

The only difference between the two is the 2nd gen i5 vs 3rd gen i5. If you compare the two processors on notebookcheck.net there is hardly a difference of 10 % between the two. Also the ASUS K55VM will be priced higher initially during Launch.

k55vm has sonicmasterlite and superbatt technology so does , in comparison to k53sm , it has loud and clear sound ,as k53sm doesnot have loud sound.....

Buddy i am not representative of Asus,Hence i would neither be able to tell you when the k55vm i5 version will be launched in India nor it's price.

Look for the options available currently if you are purchasing soon that's it.

i had recently visited a computer shop . it gave me a small asus brouchre ,small in comparison to older brouchres, and it didn't have any 3rd gen i5 model not even k55vm i5 model but it had k55vm i7 model

i think asus is not going to launch k55vm i5 model or any model with 3 rd gen i5 in india...
