REGISTRY EDITOR PERMISSIONS PROBLEM

Hii.Today i reinstalled windows in my lappy.
When i opened regedit,i'm not able to edit or delete any string or key.
Itz giving an error.
I'm using admin privileges..I have tried all the privileges in my registry editor but of no use.
Kindly help me

There is some utility from microsoft itself which can reset the permission to default.That may can help u
