redhat doesnt support ntfs partion?

i have dual boot redhat 9 and windows xp on my system with 4 partitions on hard disk,

1. ext3
2. linux swap
3. fat32
4. ntfs

when i boot in linux , I have cud mount fat32 but i fail to mount ntfs

i give this command to mount

mount /dev/hdb4 /mnt/otherpartitions

system gives error message

fc culdnt find ntfs sytem on this kernel

linux red hat doesnt support ntfs????

you should install kernel module supporting ntfs partition for that. Download and install kernel-module-ntfs-<kernelversion>. It is very important that you should download the exact package matching your kernel.

writing to ntfs is experimental, though.
