RECIEVING PHONE CALL !

i am usiing a dial up connection i would like to use my comp to recieve calls
how can i do this i am able to make calls but the mic dosent sent voice !

u r able to make calls and mike is not sending voice.......check if the Microphone is enabled in ur System.
Right click Speaker icon in System Tray and go to Open Volume Control,
Then go to Options>Propeties, there choose "Recording".
There Select the Microphone from a list of devices and click OK.
Then check the "Select" option (or uncheck the "Mute" option) the Microphone and increase the Volume Slider to max.

how do i attend a call then ?

use a software called Phone Dialer to make/recieve/auto answer the calls and much more.

What kind of modem do u use by the way.

Most internal modem dont support Voice transfer, just data transfer. You can make calls via the internet where the voice is sent as data

Genrally external modems are data & voice enabled so you can make call without any problems.

Also check ur microphone settings from the audio setting in Control Panel.
