My old consisted of p4 1.7 GHZ and a mercury MOB with 845gl chipset and a 300watt mercury smps.
I buyed a new 865gvhz MOB and connected it with my p4 1.7Ghz cpu. It was a wrong combination and i could not get the display. so i buyed a new P4 2.4 GHZ cpu and connected it with 865Gvhz MOB, every thing was fine. Then i found that after some minutes i was not able to hear any audio and when i ran ran my GTA vice city the system rebooted automatically i am having 256 mb DDR ram. i was able to play GTA on my old 1.7GHZ cpu. plz tell me a solution and more thing i am using the old 300watts power supply but the new power supplies comes in 350 and 400 watts. should i go for a new smps
