i hve p4 3.2Ghz (64 bit),gigabyte g81915g-duo (mobo),my ram is transcend ddr2 533 mhz(2*512mb).but when i checked using cpu-z it,s shows my ram frequency is 268 mhz...why this happens....
Not very familiar with CPU-Z, but it shows the original frequency. Eg DDR @ 400MHz runs at 200MHz. Its because it uses both trough/crest to transfer the data and hence double the speed of transfer. DDR2 @ 533MHz will have a frequency of 533/2 = 266.5MHz. So that explains the figures you are getting in CPU-Z. Hope you understood my explaination.
