my new laptop was performing windows updates and is showing that it is updating 5 of 8 and is stuck on the screen for 2hrs now.... what do i do friends??

It will update the system. Continue the process. If it takes more than 3 hours for update, then try by giving a shutdown signal once. IMO, it will continue and will shut down after the windows update process.

thanks i did not have the patience and have powered it off and now on and its now configuring windows!!! it seems ok now... thanks for the quick answer, it has booted normally
