Wire muncher!
i haf two queries:
1) i haf bsnl dataone adsl connection configure in fedora core 4. i connect wid the following command: adsl-start and disconnecit wid: adsl-stop. the problem is that there is no gui based program for it. i mean command line is not a problem but i wanna kno the amount of data transfer that has taken place. no bandwidth monitor is available. i couldn't find one that does this job. anyone using softie of that kind?? i'd be happy to haf a dialer.

2) when i end kde session, tho it asks me for saving the current session, everything except the icon positions on the desktop are saved. the next time i log in, all apps are there as they were before, but the desktop icons are displaced and go haywire!! how do i save the icon positions?

Applications>System Tools>Internet Configuration Wizard for configuring your BB.
Applications>System Tools>Network Device Control for Connecting/Disconnecting.

You can use the Network Monitor/Netspeed Monitor Applets on gnome Panel for monitoring your connection/bandwidth.
