PSA: i3 9100F is cheaper and faster than Ryzen 3200G

i3 has no integrated GPU. But is 10-15% faster and cost about 1k less. If you have a dedicated GPU i3 is a no brainer.

It's no surprise because 3200G and 3400G are based on the older 12nm Zen+ micro-architecture. Ryzen 5 3600, etc are the new 7nm Zen 2 micro-architecture.

Also I would say the iGPU is pretty important if you use your PC for actual work. It may remain unused but it serves as troubleshooting and backup if your GPU ever goes out.

AMD ditched non iGPU chips to compete with Pentium and i3. We haven't seen any after Zen.
Now Intel launches non iGPU variants. Will this make AMD to bring update to Ryzen 1200, 1300X, 1400, 1500X?
