processor over heating problem.

I bought Phenom II 955BE 3 days back and installed it with the provided TIM but now the temperature shoots to 80C.whole cabinet gets heated up.idle itself is at 46C.what to do guys?please help me.Thank you.

Just reinstall the HSF and try to use good quality thermal paste like Coolermaster Thermalfusion.Before reinstall clean your processor with isotope alcohol.

Idle should be near 38-40 max.

yes i now i am having idle @ 40C and load will go near 62C.see this thread

how you were able to get optimum temperatures @ 3.6Ghz using stock cooler?mine goes above 75C if i just give 1.4V without OCing.

^^ may be due to problem with thermal compounds or airflow problem inside case.
