Right off the assembly line
My friend recently bought a computer with xp installed by the vendor. The problem is that the computer is not detecting any usb devices. It just keeps on checking but in the end tells that "The system was unable to find the file specifed",in the driver details of the usb,in the system "device manager".

Is there any need for installation of any new software or update to fix it...
will reinstalling the xp help solve the problem

If its an Original XP , get online and let Windows Driver finder search the driver online.
