problem with the laptop screen

Please, I have a problem with my laptop screen, but I don't know the cause of it.

When I touch the screen, move it, or close the laptop, the screen turns off. When the laptop was OK, it used to go to sleep mode of Windows 7 when I close it; but now it turns off and I should force it to shut down by pushing the shutdown button; and sometimes the laptop restarts automatically. Sometimes the screen becomes distorted.
I think the problem is not only in the screen, because sometimes when i move the screen the laptop turns off or restarts.

Please help me.

Take laptop to a authorised service centre. It might be possible there might be something wrong with a battery as well since you said it turns off when you move it.

The connector between the motherboard & the lid have gone bad. Send the laptop to RMA.
