Problem with my graphics card??

Problem: system becomes slow and game gets stuck continuously after a few minutes of playing CoD MW 2, and continues to be slow for 10 minutes after I quit the game. No doubtful processes seem to be running on the windows task manager.
Duration: Since few months
System configuration: Dell Studio 1558 x64-based PC
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHz, 2267 Mhz, 2 Core(s)
Rams: 1x 4GB DDR 2
graphic card: ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 1 GB
Hard drives: 500 GB ATA Device

What should I do? Any diagnostic help/solution??

check whther the partion where the game is installed is defragmented !!!
slowing might be due to that or can be related to some RAM issues
even check ur RAM using MEMTEST

I think you've provided wrong system information as a Core i5 CPU cannot have DDR2 ram. Check first..it must be DDR3.
2ndly what resolution you are using for gaming? HD 5470 itself is a low end card and cannot game in high resolution. It may be the reason also.
My suggestions are
1. Download the latest Catalyst driver for your card and install it.
2. Using some free defragmentation tool like smartdefrag, defrag your hrad disk.
3. Install the latest drivers for audio and other components for your motherboard, downloaded from your motherboard site.
