here is a strange problem.....i am facing!!!!!!.....

i have amd 64 bit turion processor, 4 gb ram..... and nvidia 6150 etc as config..... i can see that even when i formatted and installed the vista ultimate 64bit again....still after some days i can see.... the syswow64 bit folder.....grows in size like virus....a massive 64 GB... only for syswow64 folder........... i scanned with mcafee, no virus found....all is clean....

i see the system performance is reduced.... very slow and sluggish and thats all coz of syswow64 , what shall i do to reduce the size of this folder.....

I could not find a solution in Google!! I am surprised. I found the same question in 1 other forum, which dint load (opened using cached pages to find that there was no solution there too). So, I guess its better you PM MVP guys like Vishal gupta to get your problem rectified.
If you think its worth a shot, try posting your Hijack this log file just to see if there is any particular windows process that is responsible for this.

That folder is a valid system folder for vista x64 but the size is way too much.

hey folks...

thnks for replies..... appreciate!!!!!!!!!

the link which u have posted is no way near to the solution..... and i had seen that already... i am using.... a latest piece of crap from hp; hp tx2000us touchscreen laptop, i read somehwhere but can't recollect "that syswow64 folder is valid folder no doubt but it emulates all 32 bit files to make it run as 64 bit thats when u install more and more 32 bit applications all related supporting files are stored in syswow64 to make them run in 64 bit OS".

i stay in US. i had a online chat with hp.... even these crappy fellows google everything and gives us the solution but this time not lucky enough.... they say the only solu.. is to restore it to factory settings.....
