Problem regarding Config!!

Hi frnz..
My pc config is

Processor: Intel P IV 3 Ghz,EM64T,LGA 775(socket).
Motherborad: Asrock 915gvl
Ram:512X2=1 GB DDR(hynix)(433 Mhz)
80 Gb SATA.
1 Nvidia 6600 LE graphics card.

But i dont get tht zig of 3 Ghz HT n 1 GB of Ram.. wel as far as software maintenance is concerned i have tried every tits n bits.. I am not sure wheather its da problem wid my motherboard or not???

So waiting for your help regarding this issue.. n also if wld have to upgrade my motherboard whch one should i opt for.. so tht upgrading option remains open for atleast a yr ahead(my budget is 7k)..

it is not wise just to upgreade the mobo now and to wait for n year for a new processor..

915 board is just fine for ur system....

But i dont get tht zig of 3 Ghz HT n 1 GB of Ram..

its a question of Relativity and comparison ... it depends as to which system u r compairing ur system...

as with compair to a AMD 2000+ with 512MB RAM ur system will look faster... but when compair with C2D and 1GB DDR2... certainlly ur system will look slower...


what i would suggest is Proper maintanance... like... Reguler Defrag... cleaning of junk / temp files and invalid registry entries... these will keep the system healthy...
