Hello...

I hav EPSON LX 300+ Dot-Matrix Printer.. Which i was using since long time..

Now a problem has occured. the LPT/Parallel port where i connected Printer seems to Malfuntioning or whatever...but it shows that my Printer is not connected properly..

and the problem is LPT port is directly connected to motherboard...So my question was ..what do i do now..??

Can i get some Portable LPT port..i mean in frame of PCI Card..which i can attach in PCI Slot and connect my normal printer there...Im in fix..!!

Or can i get LPT -> USB Connecter..(i reckon not)

Well one more thing my printer is way too old..so it doesnt have USB Ports..!

Thanx a lot.

May be the drivers...or connection problem!
Neways I got some problem like this. Donno what the exact cause or problem was!
But I repaired by uninstalling the drivers. Shutting down the PC. Reconnecting cable, switching the PC on and wholla.....New hardware found again. I just supplied the driver HP CD and Xp automatically found it.
U may try it!!
