i was thinking of getting some ECC RAM but the cost was too high and i didn't have a need for that.

I could've gone with some Bdie sticks but that would've cost more than 50k for 64GB, so went with Corsair LPX, which IMO, is the best stick around if not getting Bdie or ECC.

ECC ram is meant for servers.

There are only 3 major chip manufacturers used by ram brands--samsung,hynix & micron(crucial owned). I recently read some comments on reddit that adata D30 3600MHz ram was using samsung b-die. In any case you won't miss on anything by not getting corsair lpx because it will most likley be using hynix/micron chips same as other brands if it is not samsung.

I do run some servers and network related stuff, but only for testing/development, that didn't warrant a need for ECC.

Pretty much all RAM sticks same unless you're going samsung bdies. I dislike RGB on RAM and the Corsair LPX comes in under 32 mm standard height, so won't ever have to worry about clearance issues with other parts. Also better resale and international warranty.

Battery life is surprisingly very good. Getting 7-8hrs SOT with refresh rate set to 90hz.

The speakers are great and the camera is much better than my 3T, lol. After looking at the online comparison with iPhone 11 Pro and Mate 30 Pro, I can say OP has given a decent camera this time. My hands sweat a lot and the in display sensor has worked every time till now whereas my 3T sensor never worked with sweaty fingers because of which I was using face lock on 3T. I hope the in display sensor is accurate enough and doesn't get unlocked with others finger

Still better than being locked out of your phone because of the latest gboard update resulting in no keyboard to enter the pin(many lost data as they could only factory reset using the volume & power button.a good lesson to never update critical apps immediately & always have 2 keyboards & a fingerprint unlock if available along with pin/pattern lock). Btw nice purchase.

All my pics in photography thread are from OP7 Pro, OP surprisingly has good quality pics in this iteration of phones.

Anyway, I had once gotten fingerprint unlocked from a finger i didnt register lol. probably because my prints were already there on the sensor. after wiping it clean it stopped working with unregistered finger
